OUR EXPERTISE

CARGO INSPECTIONS

Lost and Damage Surveys

We establish the extent of the damage and give an estimate of the cost of repairs. We act
as the Underwriters eyes and ears. Our Surveyors work in liaison with the insured, the repair facility and all the relevant parties. Investigations of cargo damage or loss claims on behalf
of P&I Clubs, carriers, shippers, consignee are performed to determine possible cause and/or extent of any damage that may have occurred during shipment and to assist in mitigating further losses.

  • Surveys of break-bulk cargo to ensure that bills of lading and mate's receipts accurately note the apparent condition of cargo when it is loaded.
  • We perform out-turn surveys of steel, on arrival at the discharge port, to establish condition, any damages and shift of cargo that may have occurred during the voyage by using the Silver Nitrate testing for chloride residues.
